What is The Black Hawk Gem & Mineral? Located in Rock Island Illinois, part of the Quad-Cities of Iowa and Illinois. We are a non-profit organization actively promoting interest in collecting. studying and working with gems, minerals and fossils. Organized in 1955, the Black Hawk Club joined the Midwest Federation of Mineralogical & Geological Societies in 1959. It is also a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
