What is The Black Hawk Gem & Mineral Club?Located in Rock Island Illinois, part of the Quad-Cities of Iowa and Illinois. We are a non-profit organization actively promoting interest in collecting. studying and working with gems, minerals and fossils. Organized in 1955, the Black Hawk Club joined the Midwest Federation of Mineralogial & Geological Societies in 1959. It is also a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
The Black Hawk Gem and Mineral Clubs Spring Show Is coming up April 17th and 18th, Putnam Museum and IMAX Theatre Lecture Hall. 1717 W 12th St Davenport, IA 52804. Saturday 10-5, Sunday 11-4, Admission is free. Demonstrations, Bead Making, Faceting, Flint Knapping, Crack you own Geodes, Various Displays, Silver, Gold, and Beaded Jewelry, Wire wrapping, Minerals, Fossils, etc. Fun for the whole family.
