What is The Black Hawk Gem & Mineral Club?Located in Rock Island Illinois, part of the Quad-Cities of Iowa and Illinois. We are a non-profit organization actively promoting interest in collecting. studying and working with gems, minerals and fossils. Organized in 1955, the Black Hawk Club joined the Midwest Federation of Mineralogial & Geological Societies in 1959. It is also a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.

The Black Hawk Gem and Mineral Clubs Fall Show Is coming up October 24-25, Mississippi Valley Fair Grounds 4H Building. 2815 W Locust St Davenport, IA 52804. Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-3:30, Admission is $1 for adults, ages 17 and under are free. Demonstrations, Flint Knapping, Crack you own Geodes, Various Displays, Silver, Gold, and Beaded Jewelry, Wire wrapping, Minerals, Fossils, etc. Fun for the whole family.
