What is The Black Hawk Gem & Mineral Club? Located in Rock Island Illinois, part of the Quad-Cities of Iowa and Illinois. We are a non-profit organization actively promoting interest in collecting. studying and working with gems, minerals and fossils. Organized in 1955, the Black Hawk Club joined the Midwest Federation of Mineralogial & Geological Societies in 1959. It is also a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
08/16 August Picnic/Geode hunt! St. Francis, Missouri:
The August Picnic/Geode hunt will be held Saturday, August 16th. Will start off at 11am with a potluck picnic, then we will be off to the site for some geode collecting. The site charges $25 a bucket. For more details about the trip, and a map Click Here.
